This fun one-day workshop will provide demos and inspiration on painting abstractly. Various techniques and exercises will be explored to help you create and experience more dynamic movement and feeling in your painting. Some materials will be provided, and a suggested materials list will be shared. In addition, you’re encouraged to bring your own paints and materials-watercolor, acrylics, and oils are welcome. If you collage, bring collage material! Technique demos will include: mark-making, painting mindfully, and how to paint abstractly. We will consider artists through history while also exploring your relationship to flow and your creative process. The classroom will open at 9:30 am. Class starts at 10 am. Pack a lunch or step out for food at noon.
