This fun one-morning workshop will provide demos and inspiration on painting with EXPRESSION. The instructor will offer 3 demos: how to paint expressive landscapes, expressive abstractions, and expressive still lives. Various techniques and exercises will be explored to help you create and experience more dynamic movement, color temperature, and feeling in your painting. Some materials will be provided, and a suggested materials list will be shared. In addition, you’re encouraged to bring your own paints and materials-watercolor, acrylics, and oils are welcome. If you collage, bring collage material! Technique demos will include: mark-making, painting mindfully, and how to paint with expression. We will consider artists through history while also exploring your relationship to flow and your creative process. The classroom will open at 9:00 am. Class starts at 9:30 am.
