Join us at Ulna Studio for an Intuitive Ink Workshop with Lettie Jane Rennenkamp.
*All materials are included in this class*
You will not have to buy or bring materials, wear clothes that are comfortable and you don’t mind having ink stains on.
This 3 day workshop is designed to help you learn about painting with ink. There will be a huge emphasis on play and experimentation, as we look at different water based media. We will paint abstractly.
Expect to learn about paper, sumi ink, walnut ink, and calligraphy ink. Be prepared to participate in a creative community that’s curious about play and art.
Beginners are welcome and encouraged, experienced artists will come away with a new perspective, and both sides of the creative spectrum tend to learn from each other. We provide the materials, so you’ll just need to show up and create.
About the instructor: Lettie Jane Rennekamp is an illustrator and artist based in Portland, Oregon by way of Kentucky. Her illustrations are bold and tender at the same time, depicting motherhood, varying versions of gender expression, community, and nature all together. About our classroom space: Ulna studio is a creative space located on the 2nd floor of the Portland Storage Building on SE Morrison st. There is NOT always elevator access for arrival/departure to your in-person class. Students always have the option of coming and leaving via a staircase.
