Calling all Lynda Barry enthusiasts, this club is for you! We'll gather to work through Lynda Barry's open source prompts, chronicled in her graphic novels Syllabus and Making Comics. These reflective, playful prompts welcome participants at every level of drawing confidence, inviting everyone to embrace their innate visual storyteller. Lynda Barry's exercises are deceptively simple and silly. They loosen up our notions of good vs. bad drawing and let something deeper find its way to the surface, by way of flair pen, crayons, and a composition notebook. A small group of us will form this circle to sharpen our presence in observing the world around us, draw with curiosity and joy, and share the surprises these exercises inspire. Expect to laugh at the whimsical and clever characters and stories that emerge along the way.

A simple materials list will be provided upon registration.
