This class is for creative people who like rules and also like to break them, who enjoy patterns and also the limitations of patterns, and who are interested in trying new things while also liking what they like, valuing what they value.

In this workshop, Clara will share with you the steps she took to learn to paint/draw with paper. Together we will explore how to use cut and torn paper to capture feelings and preferences, to embrace the repetitive nature of cutting and pasting, and to begin to see expansive possibilities in repurposing paper as a drawing/painting medium.

About the instructor: Clara Stemwedel spent many years away from art making until the limitations of life during the COVID pandemic helped her identify a path to the consistent creativity that she had been seeking since childhood. She found this path by working with what was at hand - scrap and refuse paper. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to share her creative experience/process with others.
